This release introduces a number of new features including an improved library list with song information edit capabilities, an updated player to provide smoother playback, and, our favorite, the Karaoke Anywhere Song Store!  The Song Store features over 30,000 tracks for you to download and playback.  If you can’t find a song in our library, it probably doesn’t exist in Karaoke form (and you probably shouldn’t be singing it anyway!).

Among the many improvements behind-the-scenes, you’ll notice there’s a new Song Library listing format with the ability to edit the track titles and artists, as well as some speed enhancements to the player.  Of course, the biggest news is the HUGE Karaoke Anywhere song store, featuring over 30,000 tracks for you to download straight to your iPhone or iPod anytime, anywhere.  This is truly Karaoke Anywhere!

How it Works

Take a video of you, or someone you know, using Karaoke Anywhere in a surprising situation. Sing at a local library, a grocery store, a gas station… anywhere you wouldn’t normally see Karaoke, and make sure you get people’s reaction.

Next, upload it it to YouTube as a video response to this video and tag it with “KaraokeAnywhere”.  That’s it!  We’ll pick our favorite video from each of four categories, and each winner will receive free Karaoke tracks for a year.  Check out http://www.karaokeanywhere.net/contest/ for the full contest details.

Karaoke Anywhere is the worlds first CDG player for the iPhone.  Now you can truly bring the Karaoke experience anywhere!  The player supports industry standard MP3+G files, and your existing collection can easily be transferred to the application via WiFi.  Anyone who has seen Karaoke in a bar or club will be familiar with the style of graphics as Karaoke Anywhere uses the exact same processor as professional CDG / Karaoke players.

Songs can be purchased at discounted rates through our music store, but you are free to transfer any compatible file to the application from any source.  In the future you will be able to purchase songs from within the application at, what we believe to be, the most competitive rates in the Karaoke market!

There are a bunch more features currently in development, but we can’t mention those just yet   We hope you like our first iPhone application to hit the market, and we hope you love Karaoke Anywhere just as much as we do!
